HELLO
Does anyone really read these “about” pages? Since you’re here, here’s a little about me.
I’m a Los Angeles native, born in Hollywood, and I’ve been creating art since before I could read. My parents encouraged my creativity while making sure I stayed grounded in school (otherwise I’d probably be a creative train wreck). Summers were packed with art classes at Barnsdall, swim and dive team, and just about every activity to channel my ADHD energy. I grew up immersed in art, photography, music, and skating, but also loved basketball, mountain biking, and hiking. I can’t play an instrument to save my life—unless we’re including karaoke—but I’m definitely a music aficionado.
Professionally, I’ve spent over 20 years in entertainment advertising as both a Creative and Art Director. But like LeBron, I still love being a player more than a coach. Over the years, I’ve created more than 180 published pieces of key art, plus branding and identity work for companies outside entertainment. I’ve never been complacent—I adapt with the industry, embrace new tech, and thrive on the balance of critical thinking and creative execution.
Of course, the business has its challenges: brutal deadlines, endless revisions, and occasionally seeing your best idea out in the world with someone else’s name attached. It stings, but I take it as a backhanded compliment—proof that the concept was strong enough to resonate. I also believe clients shouldn’t underestimate smaller agencies; there are talented creatives everywhere, and a unique idea deserves the chance to shine.
What I love most isn’t just the big-name projects (though they’re fun). It’s the impossible ones—the zero-assets, high-pressure, against-all-odds challenges that somehow produce the most rewarding solutions. Those projects push me, teach me, and remind me why I still love this work.
At this stage of my career, I value collaborating with people who respect their teams, nurture creativity, and understand work/life balance.
So that’s me. I built this site to showcase some of my published work—pieces with stories behind them, a few with awards, but mostly so friends and family can finally see what I do for a living. Thanks for reading (I know I probably wouldn’t have).
